Our fully trained Saw Doctors are capable of servicing all types of saws and most types of cutters used in the Wood, Metal and Paper industries. Some of the more obscure items, serviced over the years have included; Operating Theatre Saws for hospitals, Magicians Saws, Blackpool Rock cutting saws, plus cutters for manufacturing a well known brand of sliced bread.

Although many of the principles of Saw Doctoring are the same as those used over 100 years ago, Metcalfe and Tattersall have constantly upgraded their machines as more modern and better machines have come onto the market. The latest machine installed is the highly successful Vollmer CX100 Tungsten Carbide Tipped saw grinder. This machine is CNC controlled and is capable of regrinding the most modern tooth shapes used in the present day furniture trade. Other machines will be added in the future, as they become available, this will help to keep us in the forefront of Saw Servicing.
